George Wilson, M.D., a Los Angeles resident of radiology, is about to enter a career on the verge of a major paradigm change, foreshadowing a radically different position for doctors everywhere. A new mobile app is being built that is much more than just a reference device, rather it is a completely customizable personal physician capable of more effectively diagnosing and treating patients than the actual thing. It is called the iDoc. The initial collision between George and the amazing invention is catastrophic. One morning, not long after she took part in an iDoc beta test, he wakes up to find his fiancee dead in bed alongside him. Upon having undergone MRI treatments, most of his patients subsequently die. They'd also been part of the same experimental check. Is it likely that the hackers subvert iDoc-and that the US government is complicit in a cover-up? Notwithstanding threats to both his life and his independence, George seeks the truth endlessly, realizing that if he is right, the consequences could be lethal.
